Hi, my name is Elton. I'm the cutest little lab mix all the way from Houston, TX. I currently live in a house with 2 resident dogs and my sister who was brought up from Texas with me. We all get along very well and have a lot of fun running around the yard together. I love chasing around my resident sister and I don’t even get scared when she starts to chase me! I love playing with all the toys out in the yard but get really excited for what comes after; naps. If you are sitting on the ground I will crawl into your lap or if it’s time for kennel naps I will fall asleep right away.

I’m still working on potty training but I’m treat motivated so I will get there soon. We have been working on some training and I’m getting real good at ‘sit’. I’m not sure if I know the command ‘come’ yet but if you squat and excitedly yell to me, I will sprint your way and it’s really adorable.

Elton is a typical puppy, full of energy and puppy kisses! He loves to be outside & play with his toys. He’s  just a really sweet boy who wants a family who will play with him and then cuddle. Is that you?

Elton weighs 16 pounds (but is still growing) and is an owner surrender from Texas.

Since this dog is coming from Texas where heartworm disease is highly prevalent, there is a chance that even if they  test  negative for heartworm now they may be positive in the future as it takes microfilariae 5 to 7 months to mature into adult heartworms after infection.

If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
